Rising is a team of educators and advocates. Our passion is raising awareness and motivating positive change in human rights and environmental realities through the lens of the clothing industry. We focus on learning from the voices of those with lived experiences and examining challenges with a fair minded, empathetic, & critical thinking mindset. Our learning is designed to develop understanding, stimulate a call to action and foster hope.

Wendy is a mother, grandmother and educator with 35 years of experience in K-12 specializing in inclusive education. She has a graduate degree in teaching and learning. Her educational passion has been to empower learners to be creative, compassionate and fair minded critical thinkers.

FOUNDER of RISING
Emily has a BBA in marketing. She is a small business owner, sustainability advocate, and a Community Organizer for Remake. Emily is passionate about educating learners of all ages on the topic of sustainability, especially within the clothing industry.

Kaitlyn has a Bachelor of Human Kinetics and Bachelor of Education. She is an educator eager to share her passion for sustainability and the environment with youth. Kaitlyn also has a passion for health, wellness and the potential for overall sustainable well being.
